These are the same quality pots that are included with 95% of all Thonk produced kits and specced by many manufacturers. These pots work great with all the 6mm T18 Shaft knobs we sell.

These pots are perfect for Music Thing Modular, RYO, Random*Source, Fonitronik, Frequency Central (FCUK) & Erica Synths projects where 9mm pots are specced… but do double check as there are a few exceptions. They are not the first choice for panel-wiring… but we do have Pot Chicklets for that!

We love these pots, they feel smooth and precise and have got a strong following for a good reason. One thing that always annoyed us was that annoying little anti-rotation tag that you have to cut or break off, so unlike other distributors we got them manufactured without that tag. Also removing the nut and washer on each pot to build something like a 64 pot sequencer panel can get REALLY tedious, so again unlike other distributors we include the nut and washer bagged separately. It only save 20 seconds per pot maybe, but it adds up!

These knobs are reminiscent of the classic Dunlop MXR knobs but are styled with a crisper and more refined moulded edge. These are the perfect companion for the Thonk 1900h clones and made from the same colour stocks for a perfect match.

Initially we will be stocking in the tasteful and popular Black, Dark Grey and Dark Red styles, although we may expand to the more garish colour options of the 1900h knobs if demand is there!

The bulk of the range have a 6.4mm shaft with setscrew and the same sturdy brass insert as the 1900h clones. We also have the Black knob in a D-shaft version

The diagram below shows the pointer in relation to the d-shaft.

The skirt of the knob is 25mm/1″, the smaller diameter is 20mm /0.8″ and the height is 15mm / 0.6″

Slider caps available in two materials – soft touch and hard touch. These caps fit perfectly on our Alpha 20mm Sliders.

Note: Placing these on LED sliders will cause the LEDs to become very diffused. See photos below.

Pimp your DFAM!

A Knob upgrade bundle to cover the small black trimpots on the Moog DFAM. Installing these larger knobs make the controls much more ‘playable’ as well as improving the frontpanel aesthetic. Moog may consider that adding these knobs is considered an ‘after-market modification’ so it may affect your warranty, but they can easily be removed at any time.

Bundle includes: 16 x Small knobs for the bottom sequencer section and 3 x Mini knobs for the VCO Controls

These knobs are similar to our MXR range but with slightly sharper edges, they fit great on our 6.35mm Alpha Pots.

The Synth Pointer style will be very familiar to fans of Synth Tech, Pittsburgh Modular, Rebel Tech and L-1 modules. They have a 6.4mm / 0.25″ shaft with setscrew and the same sturdy brass insert as the 1900h clones.

The ‘small’ knob was previously referred to as the ‘SynthTech’ style knob.

Available in black only. These are genuine Davies Molding parts for 1/4″ or 6.35mm diameter pot shafts.

• 1913BW : Bold Large (1.12″ / 28.45mm diameter)
• 1910CS : Bold Small (0.75″ / 19.05mm diameter)
• 1600BM : Fine X-Large (1.50″ / 38.10mm diameter)
• 1610AA : Fine Small (0.91″ / 23.02mm diameter)

The ‘Fine’ knobs were used on the original Buchla 100 and 200 series.
The ‘Fine Small’ knob was used on the Music Thing Modular Spring Reverb kit alongside 1900h knobs.

The ‘Bold’ knobs were both used on the Thonk 258J kits alongside 1900h knobs. The Bold Large knob is used on later revisions of the Turing Machine Sweeping Arcs Module. They are also used on the larger Manhattan Analog modules.

New Black 1900h types

• Black No Line – No white line on the top. Encoder style for ‘endless’ rotary pots on digital modules.
• Black (T18) – For 18 teeth knurled 6mm shafts such as Doepfer, Elby etc. These are pure plastic, not brass inserted.
• Black (D) – 6mm shaft D knob For Make Noise, Intellijel, 4ms and many more. These are pure plastic, not brass inserted. Double check your modules actual knob orientation details before purchasing.

The Black (D) part has been specially manufactured to fit correctly on new style Make Noise modules. The Rogan knobs on Make Noise modules have a round hole for around 7mm of the knob shaft before it turns to a D shaft. This means that other manufacturers D shaft 1900h clones will sit no closer than 7mm off the surface of a Make Noise panel. Note the pointer orientation on these means they are not suitable for all D-Shaft pots, see diagram below, the pointer is on the curved side of the D.

These smart little snap-on slider caps have been designed exclusively for use on the TTSH project. These caps make the Illuminated sliders feel much nicer to touch, and the open top and translucent sides keep LEDs clearly visible.

These brass adaptors allow round shaft knobs to be fitted on to our Alpha T18 Shaft and D-Shaft pots. They also work great for fitting round shaft knobs onto our Song Huei trimmer pots!

These are the same style micro knobs that can be found on a range of Befaco products. They are strictly designed for T18 Shaft (Doepfer style) Potentiometers which you can buy HERE.

Warning: Fit on proper T18 shaft pots only, buy them HERE. While it’s tempting to fit onto the Song Huei Tall Trimmer Pots – they are extremely hard to remove again from tall trimmer pots and it’s very easy to damage your pots or module in the process. You will also likely not be able to remove your module front panel with these fitted onto Tall Trimmers Pots.
